Letter From the Pastor's Desk:
Firstly, I would like to greet each of you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
It has been clear to me for a long time that worship is not about us, but it is all about Jesus. Worship is the essential indication of the Christian faith and it is time that we come together as a body of believers to give God praise due His Holy Name. Wherefore, when we are able to enter into God's sanctuary we need to recognize and realize that our God is worth and worthy of all the praise we can give Him. This is why we teach every soul that comes into this sanctuary that we need to give God our all - all our devotion, all our admiration, all our passion, and all our determination.
I praise God for taking care of my Pastor/father for over 45 years of pastoring God's Throne Missionary Baptist Church. By the will of God, He has selected me to carry on where my Pastor/father left off. It is an honor to enhance on the foundation that has already been laid out by one of God's chosen vessels, my Pastor/father.
The road that the Lord has guided me on has not always been easy. There has been times I wanted to give up, give in, or give out, but the Spirit of the Lord moved upon me, and He spoke to me, and he let me know, "I did not bring you this far to leave you."
Therefore, my goal in this life is to get all of mankind serving the one and only true and living God. What I am looking forward to doing is the will of our Father, and to invite you to join me in a marvelous future of never-ending praise to God.
Presently at God's Throne we are excited to have Friday Night Live for the age group 16-40. We are also excited about having our Movie and Games (M.A.G) Night for our children ages 5-15. There has been a great awakening with the Discipleship Training Program that has been instituted within this church body. There is still a long way to go, but with the help of the Lord, all things are possible.
Therefore, if you are ever in the City of Stockton, in the State of California, we welcome you to come and fellowship with us. If you don't have a church home, we will be glad if you became a part of our church family.
